Hi! I’m Nina!

Welcome to my adventure!

I’m Nina (she/her), founder and guide of Magic Forest Tours. I started this business because I love where I live and it is my passion to share the Olympic mountain wilderness with locals and visitors of all ages. On my tours it is not uncommon to pick summer berries, identify fall mushrooms, and observe wildlife, both big and small. I aim to facilitate an experience that is both educational and grows our relationship to nature. Whether you have years of experience in the outdoors or are just brand new, my tours feed the adventurous spirit and create memories you’ll carry with you for life!

More About Me:

I grew up in New York and moved to Washington in 2018 to live a life outdoors. I live full-time in Port Angeles and I stay active and connected to this special place through hiking, kayaking, biking and foraging. Taking the time to be present in the forests here has radically changed me, increasing my resilience and capacity to face life’s challenges. I believe that in decolonizing our relationship to nature we can find healing for ourselves, our communities, and the planet. I identify as queer, and I am committed to creating a welcoming environment for people with marginalized identities. On my tours I do not tolerate discrimination based on gender identity, race or sexual orientation.

My Special Skills:

As a naturalist guide I have a wealth of knowledge to share on identifying native plants, wildflowers, birds and mushrooms, as well as tide-pool invertebrates, marine mammals and the area’s cultural history. I have been practicing yoga since 2016 and teaching since 2025. I enjoy sharing my practice that includes yoga nidra and mindful meditation. I also speak Spanish and welcome Spanish speakers on my tours.
