Coast Backpacking Sand Point

Skill Level: Easy – Flat 3 Miles

Explore the rugged Pacific coastline while learning to backpack on an easy overnight to Sand Point in Olympic National Park. Tide pool with a naturalist guide during the day and relax by a campfire in the evening. This trip will emphasize tide planning and leave no trace practices for those new to backpacking. Watch sunset and sunrise over the ocean and truly relax on this short but stunning trip.

Kayak Camping Lake Ozette

Skill Level: Easy and Intermediate tour options available

Ozette Lake lies in the beautifully-remote western reaches of Olympic National Park, just a mile inland from the rugged Pacific Coastline. On our 3-day, 2-night kayak camping trip you will experience a diversity of landscapes and wildlife in Olympic National Park. The trip includes paddling and exploring the lake, camping in a large back-country campground with a pit toilet, and hiking through old growth forest to the ocean where its famous sea stacks and tide pools await! You will have the opportunity to learn from two local and experienced guides as you explore this magnificent area.

Seven Lakes Basin

Skill Level: Easy & Intermediate/Advanced options

Countless lakes dot this spectacular landscape within the Sol duc river valley, a lush oasis in the heart of Olympic National Park. Multiple trails are available; a 21 mile loop trail over three days allows time to explore the entire region.

Mink Lake is a peaceful back-country lake surrounded by mossy meadows and old growth trees, a great trip for beginners. The trail is 2.5 miles in length, with an elevation gain just under 1,500 ft. Along the trail you can spot big trees, native wildflowers, berries, and mushrooms.

Royal Basin

Skill Level: Intermediate/Advanced

Royal basin is an epic valley surrounded by mountain peaks on the East side of the Olympic range. The backpack in is approx 7 miles with a climb of 2,000 feet. Campsites are reserved at the Royal Lower Meadow and Royal Lake. Day two is for day hiking to explore the lake, surrounding trails and waterfalls. Enjoy the breathtaking views, native plants and wildlife in one of the most beautiful spots in Olympic National Park.

Lake Angeles Loop

Skill Level: Intermediate

Explore the breathtaking views and wildlife on this 12 mile loop. The first day is 3.7 miles and camp at Lake Angeles, the second day is 3.6 miles, a climb to Klahane ridge and camp at heather park. On the third day hike out 4.1 miles.
